Given the quality of most fan-shot footage, we cringed when we read that there was fan-shot footage from an Iced Earth show. However, the recording is actually really good. Jon Schaffer shreds, like he always does, with a fierce precision. Stu Block really does well to deliver a gritty vocal and hits those really high notes like it’s nothing. During the song, “Iced Earth,” the stage lights flashed to the beat of the rumbling drums like lightning.

They played a number of tracks from their new album, Plagues of Babylon, that they’re touring in support of.  There were also some old surprises–like “Red Baron/Blue Max” (from The Glorious Burden) during their 90-minute set. The band is currently on tour with Sabaton and Revamp.
