Claudio Sanchez, guitarist and frontman for the hugely popular Coheed and Cambria, used his Instagram to perpetrate an epic hoax on his many fans and the media alike. Sanchez, who is known for his incredible head of long, curly, flowing locks, posted a couple of pics online of himself with seemingly short hair using the caption:

“The time for change has come.”

He then made a reference to himself looking like a younger version of his grandfather. Fans were understandably taken aback until the Coheed guitarist posted footage from the band’s set from last night (7th) at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO, during which Sanchez revealed his trickery.
