As Coal Chamber gears up to hit the road later this month on a North American tour with Fear Factory, they’ve released a new music video using footage from a recent live performance in London. This is the Coal Chamber’s second music video from the album, coming after the release of “I.O.U. Nothing” this past May.
Said vocalist Dez Fafara about, “Rivals,”
“It’s really more about the artwork and how [the word] ‘rivals’ is scratched out. Rivals can be your inner demons, your inner self; [or] exterior factors that are negative influences on your life. But either way, they’ve gotta go. And that’s kind of what this whole thing is about. If you go inside the record and you listen to the lyrics, it’s about expelling demons and getting rid of negative influences in and around your life.”
Rivals is Coal Chamber’s first new album since 2002s Dark Days, and it debuted at #39 on the Billboard Charts, selling 7,125 copies in its first week of release.
