Since signing with Nuclear Blast in September of 2014, Fear Factory has been building up the release of their ninth studio album, Genexusdue out on August 7th. Today, the band just released a lyric video for, “Soul Hacker,” the first single from the new album.

Said guitarist Dino Cazares,

“We chose the song ‘Soul Hacker’ for the first single ’cause it’s heavy, catchy and has a lot of groove. You can really hear the aggression in Burt’s [C. Bell] vocals on this one, not to mention on the entire album. We think people are really going to love this song and record; it’s super varied, melodic, aggressive and heavy.”

The band will be hosting a free, 21+ listening party for Genexus on July 23rd at the Complex in Glendale, CA. The next day Fear Factory will embark on tour with Coal Chamber, Devil You Know, and Jasta throughout most of August
