Best Music Videos of the Week Ending 2/24

Posted by on February 24, 2017

What a week it has been for music video premieres, especially from Gojira and Suicide Silence. While we still haven’t heard anything about Marilyn Manson’s non-existent Valentine’s Day release of Say10, we continue to have room for more. Here are our top five videos of the week:

5) 8kids – “Blitzschlag”

8kids premiered the new video for “Blitzschlag” taken from their new album Denen die wir waren out May 26 via Napalm Records.

4) Soen – “Opal”

Soen unleashed a new video for the song “Opal” taken from their new album Lykaia.

3) Down & Dirty – “Heaven Sent”

Down & Dirty has returned and obviously without Denis Stoff on vocals. Stoff originally left the group to join Asking Alexandria and eventually stopped talking to them, leaving him hinting at a new Anubis project. It seems a project is happening for everyone and Down & Dirty premiered the new song  “Heaven Sent” while remaining with Sumerian Records. The band made the following comment on their Facebook:

Success isn’t an accident. It’s hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most all, it’s loving what you do, or are learning to do. With that being said, our new music video for “Heaven Sent” is out now on Youtube!“

2) Svart Crown – “Orgasmic Spiritual Ecstasy”

We are one week away until Svart Crown’s new album Abreaction releases on March 3 via Century Media Records. Luckily, the band premiered a killer video for the new abrasive song “Orgasmic Spiritual Ecstasy.” Pre-orders for the album are available here.

1 – Antropomorphia – “Murmur Ov The Dead”

Netherland death metallers Antropomorphia’s new album Sermon ov Wrath is out today (24) via Metal Blade Records! To celebrate this release, they premiered the chilling new video for “Murmur ov The Dead.” Vocalist/guitarist Ferry Damen commented on song stating:

“With unleashing ‘Murmur ov the Dead’ we tread a path that both musically and lyrically holds the most dark and wretched atmosphere while conveying deep personal visions.”

Bonus:

Bonus 1 – Lizzy Borden – “Give ‘Em the Axe”

Speaking of Metal Blade Records, they tend to re-release old videos on their YouTube. We decided to include their recent upload of Lizzy Borden’s “Give ‘Em the Axe” taken from their 1987 album Terror Rising just for fun.

Bonus 2 – Ayreon – “Everybody Dies”

We decided to end this week’s videos on a positive note with Ayreon’s new lyric video “Everybody Dies,” taken from their forthcoming album The Source out April 28.
