Avenged Sevenfold have quite the history with the Call of Duty games. This history traces back to at least a decade as the group have unleashed a few tracks for the gaming franchise including last year’s “Mad Hatter” single. They’ve also contributed to the musical score for one of the games. We’ve also seen frontman M. Shadows audition to be a Call of Duty Zombie back in 2015, and now the time has finally arrived for the band’s singer to land a role in the game. In a brand new trailer released yesterday (8th), M. Shadows is officially in the new game: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, as part of the Operation Apocalypse Z.

You can watch the trailer below:

During yesterday’s livestream, Shadows was also featured in a discussion as he expressed being in the game is a career highlight and went into detail on the group’s extensive history with the series as the game was also used to help the group cope with the loss of drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, who passed away in 2009.

Operation Apocalypse Z is currently available on Playstation 4 and will be made available on other platforms at a later date.
