Absent In Body have dropped a new single for “Rise From Ruins.” The track debuted on pro wrestling’s AEW’s ‘Revolution’ PPV event, the “House Of Black” wrestling stable has adopted the track as their entrance music. Metal fan, and badass wrestler Malakai Black, is teamed with Brody King, vocalist of God’s Hate, and Buddy Matthews. The single is taken from the group’s debut album, Plague God, which is scheduled to arrive on March 25th via Relapse Records. Formed in 2017, the group consists of Amenra guitarist Mathieu J. Vandekerckhove, vocalist Colin H. Van Eeckhout, Neurosis vocalist/guitarist Scott Kelly, and Cavalera Conspiracy/ex-Sepultura drummer Iggor Cavalera.

Vandekerckhove comments:

“The blueprints of most AIB songs were made when I was on tour with Amenra. Because of the long journeys, I had a lot of free time on the bus. Different landscapes every day. The emptiness of the mountains, the desolate empty cities at night… At one day, when recording the album, I had too much negative news and havoc on my socials shoved into my face. And the riff to this song was an instinctive reaction to that. I fought it off. This song is definitely a reflection of that moment, that day.”
