We lost a true legend today @JonZazula founder of @megaforce records. I had the great fortune to have Jon on my podcast to share his story. He is one of the architects our heavy music culture. RIP and condolences to his family 🙏 pic.twitter.com/gs3n59gwpD

From my very first moments getting into metal, the name Jon Zazula aka Jonny Z was popping up in my careful, thorough examinations of cassette liner notes. A clearly respected man among my earliest musical heroes. RIP to a founding father. https://t.co/KLyPxXSl4z

I rode my bicycle from Westfield to Clark NJ to buy my first Metallica cassette at Rock And Roll Heaven in 1985 (I think?). I was totally green and had no idea I was literally stepping into the world that Jon Zazula helped create. RIP. https://t.co/3kWuAn7ETb
