Doom giants The Obsessed will drop their fifth studio album, Gilded Sorrow, on February 16th, 2024, via Ripple Music. The announcement comes just ahead of the group’s upcoming European tour, featuring appearances at festivals like Desertfest, Keep It Low, Up In Smoke, and Demons Gate, kicking off later this month. The group’s anticipated return with Gilded Sorrow is promised to be their heaviest album yet. With guitarist Jason Taylor onboard, the music is aggressive and straightforward. Wino praises Taylor’s contribution and the album’s overall quality.
