It’s hard to believe that Sepultura has entered its 30th year as a band. While Max and Igor Cavalera formed the band in 1984, it wasn’t until 1985 that they released their first music, a split EP with Overdose. In 1986, they released their first album, Morbid Visions. They’ll be commemorating 30 years of being an entity by celebrating with a North American tour sponsored by our friends in Metal Injection. The tour will also feature Destruction and Arsis. There’s a rotating slot of openers that include Boris the Blade, Micawber, Starkill and The Last Ten Seconds of Life.

While bassist Paulo Jr. remains the only original member in the band, guitarist Andreas Kisser has been in Sepultura since 1987. The band’s 13th album, The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must be the Heart, showed that the band still have plenty of fuel left in the tank. Here are the tour dates:
