Foo Fighters have cancelled their touring plans following the death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins. 

The group issued the following statement on social media:

“It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.

Hakins passed away in his hotel in Bogota, Colombia on Friday (25th). According to local officials, an ambulance was sent to his hotel after receiving a call about chest pains. Preliminary details have since emerged as according to the Office of the Attorney General of Colombia, a urine toxicological test found 10 different substances in Hawkins’ system, including THC (marijuana), antidepressants, benzodiazepine and opioids. No official cause of death has been revealed at this time.
