Thrash metal veterans Dark Angel willreturn to stages across North America this fall for The Extinction Level Event Tour, their first full tour since the early 1990s. Kicking off September 5, the trek supports the band’s long-awaited comeback album, Extinction Level Event, due via Reversed Records. Formed in 1981, Dark Angel helped shape the thrash scene with classics like Darkness Descends and Time Does Not Heal. Their current lineup includes Gene Hoglan (drums), Eric Meyer (guitar), Mike Gonzalez (bass), Ron Rinehart (vocals), and Laura Christine (guitar).
Support on select dates includes Sacred Reich, Hirax, Vio-Lence, Midnight, Void, and Interceptor. The new album, produced by Rob Shallcross and mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica), features previously released singles,“Extinction Level Event” and “Circular Firing Squad.” Tickets are available at thislocation.
