Canada’s version of The Voice is getting more metal by the week. Louis-Paul Gauvreau somehow advanced on the show by singing Necrophagist, then again a few weeks ago by covering Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild” and making it slightly more metal. He returned again a few days ago with more metal, covering Incandescence’s “L’abime du Reve,” which is a Canadian black metal band. The production values are pretty amazing on the show. Tons of lights, more fire than a Rammstein show, and cattle skulls on a chain link face, along with Gauvreau wearing gauntlets and a bullet belt add up to the most metal thing we’ve seen on a reality show (sorry Vince Neil). We’re not sure if he advanced again, but it’d be rad if he did!
