Megadeth is having a hell of a year so far. The band’s fifteenth album, Dystopia, is the biggest-selling heavy record of the year so far, and will have sold 100,000 within a week or two. It’s also one of the band’s best albums in a while, thanks to the band’s new guitarist, Kiko Loureiro, and the best fill-in drummer anyone could ask for, Lamb of God’s Chris Adler. The band’s current tour, with Suicidal Tendencies, Children of Bodom and Havok, was doing well enough that when it swang by New York last night, it had to play two dates at Terminal 5. Meanwhile, Suicidal Tendencies have a completely separate killer fill-in drummer in former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo. Photographer and director Wes Orshoski (you might have seen the Lemmy movie), was on hand to shoot the latter two bands for Metal Insider.
