Finally, Rock Castle in the picturesque location of the medieval castle in Moravsky Krumlov promises to close out the season in epic fashion, featuring Viking metallers Amon Amarth as headliners alongside German thrash commando Kreator and the symphonic metal giants Epica, hailing from the Netherlands. Further featured at this year’s edition of Rock Castle will be Finnish folk metal band Korpiklaani and their countrymen from Amorphis; some quite enjoyable European-style power metal in shape of Freedom Call, Primal Fear and Bloodbound, as well as some welcome surprises such as classic 80s-US-rockers Dokken.

The perhaps lesser known highlights include the rejuvenated Xandria, Italian prog-power metallers Temperance as well as Northtale, founded by Bill Hudson, guitarist for Doro, UDO, Am I Morbid and Trans-Siberian Orchestra, to name only a few.

All in all, the Czech festival summer 2024 is once again shaping up to becoming a really hot one, and especially the 20th anniversary edition of Masters of Rock festival should be a sight to behold.
