All That Remains have announced Jason Richardson as an official member of the band.

The group took to their Facebook page to clarify as they responded to a previous interview that was made at an earlier date saying they were far from choosing a replacement for their late guitarist, Oli Herbert.

The band explained:

“All That Remains would like to clarify that guitarist Jason Richardson is now an official member of the band. Some recent interviews were conducted before a decision was made or announced regarding Jason. But the band has indeed welcomed him into the fold as an official member and is excited to get back on the tour and play for fans.”

Richardson has been playing with the band since December, joining them on their UK/European tour. He has previously played with Born of Osiris, Chelsea Grin and All Shall Perish.

Richardson fills in the spot left by the suspicious passing of Oli Herbert. Herbert passed away unexpectedly in October due to what was deemed at the time an “accidental drowning.” Since then more information has come to light, including the suspicious signing of a will one week prior leaving everything to his wife and forbidding anything go to his sister.

All That Remains released their latest album, Victim of the New Disease, in November. The band embarks on a U.S tour in support of the album with In Flames starting February 12. The group will then embark on their own headlining run on February 28th with Attila, Escape the Fate, and Sleep Signals.
