Former Voivod and current E-Force vocalist/bassist Eric Forrest has publicly revealed his fight with prostate cancer. On Thursday (12), Forrest shared a link to a GoFundMe campaign alongside the following message:

Forrest revealed additional details on the fundraiser page, stating he was diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer in 2024.

He explained:

“Hello, My name is Eric Forrect musician/singer/composer/author/touring artist

from the band E-FORCE (ex-VOIVOD)/Master’s ashes

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024 /stage 3

/psa 23/gleason7(3+4)Currently seeking financial aid to help my metobolic treatment medicine therapy ,expences.

Ive kept this pretty much private for many reasons.After many delays/RDV s/Scans/IRMs …..adminstration procedures…..I have been on a daily routine to advance my situation, (some days better than others).However,maintaining a diciplined scheduled.format cycle.Plus ,some love and support from family and close friends.

To eliminate this problem ,Please help me generate support to continue my fight to kill this parasite! 100% .

Despite the diagnosis, it’s been reported that E-Force are currently finishing their new album titled Voivod Revisited. The record is expected to feature re-recordings of songs from Voivod’s albums Negatron and Phobos. Our thoughts are with Forrest as he faces this battle, and we wish him strength and healing in the months ahead. At the time of publication, €1,575 has been raised toward a €25,000 goal.
