Slipknot “approaching original violence,” release new song

Posted by on October 15, 2014

The first four tracks from Slipknot’s new album are officially out. Today, track number three from .5: The Gray Chapter, “AOV,” is available for streaming on the Slipknot website, less than a week away before the release of the new album.

The title “AOV” is apparently short for “approaching original violence,” a line from the song.

This is the sixth track to be released from the upcoming album. A steady stream of music has been coming out since early August, starting with “The Negative One” video, then the first official single, “The Devil In I” (with another video), “Custer,” and recently album openers, “XIX” and “Sarcastrophe.”
