iced earth plagues of babylonYou don’t have to wait until January 21st to hear the new Iced Earth album, Plagues of Babylon. In fact, you can hear the entire album below, courtesy of Spotify. Plagues, the band’s 11th studio album, is the second one featuring onetime Into Eternity vocalist Stu Block. You’ve previously gotten a chance to hear both the title track and “Among the Living Dead,” and if you like those two, you’ll definitely be on board for the remainder of the album.

Half of the album Plagues of Babylon is tied into mastermind Jon Schaffer’s Something Wicked concept, while the other half are standalone tracks. This album marks the first with a new rhythm section, bassist Luke Appleton and drummer Raphael Saini. There’s also a cover of the Jimmy Webb song “Highwayman” featuring Volbeat’s Michael Poulsen and Adrenaline Mob/Symphony X’s Russell Allen.

Plagues of Babylon will be released in North America on January 21st on Century Media.
