kvelertakKvelertak has already offered up three tracks off of Nattesferd. And while we only have a few more days till the album actually comes out, the Norwegian outfit is offering fans an advance listen to their new album in its entirety.

Not only is Rolling Stone hosting the full album premiere of Nattesferd, but also offering a track-by-track guide directly from frontman Erlend Hjelvik and guitarist-pianist Vidar Landa. The two even briefly discuss the mixed reaction the album’s first single “1985” has gotten, along with how everything from H.P. Lovecraft to famous Norwegian witch burnings inspired lyrics.

We’re still digesting Nattesferd ourselves, but so far we’re digging it a lot, even though it’s definitely a departure from the band’s first two albums. Essentially the band have slowed down a bit, as if they were inspired by “Kvelertak,” the last song on Meir, and took the ’80s rock vibe an ran with it. Head over to Rolling Stone to hear for yourself, and check out the three previously released songs off the album below. Nattesferd officially comes out this Friday, May 13.
