Breaking Bands 1

What do you get when you combine veterans of the metal industry with the logo for Breaking Bad? A management company, apparently. Breaking Bands LLC is a new management company that consists of Chuck Billy of Testament,  Adrenaline PR CEO Maria Ferrero,  and former Megaforce Records and Crazed Management owners Jon and Marsha Zazula. Safe to say this company is made up of some heavy hitters.

Taken from the official press release:

These individuals have joined forces to merge their experience and bring some new, unknown bands to the forefront, as well as develop and guide the continuing careers of some of today’s most well-established artists. Combined, Chuck, Maria, Jon, and Marsha bring decades of experience to the table, from their individual beginnings at the very introduction of the heavy metal genre in the 1980’s.

Chuck Billy on the new company:

“After being friends and doing business for almost 30 years, we all decided that it was time to create a team that has lived and breathed the music business with all its ups and downs. I feel that with all the knowledge that we’ve gained, it would be nice to work with bands and help improve and guide them in the right direction to a long and successful career. I feel this is a natural progression in my life along with focusing on my band Testament for 28+ years.”

There are three bands currently being represented by the company, the biggest and most notable being Exodus. The others include a metal act from Texas called Shattered Sun and (randomly) alternative pop artist Forrest Day. So that’s a pretty good start to having an unknown band and a veteran band. Certainly new bands can always use a hand in climbing the ranks, and older bands sometimes need help in staying in the spotlight. This is quite the team assembled here, so it’ll be interesting to see how many other bands, new and old, will be looking to become clients. The Zazulas and Ferrero already have management experience, and Billy probably knows a thing or two about management as well. It will be interesting to see who else they pick up.
