The king of all records stores, it’s always a great browse, replete with music related apparel, books, posters, and all sorts of other goodies. Rare wall stuff wasn’t very impressive this time around and it was also harder to find in the new location. The Hollywood Blvd near Vine location although quite large, is only half the square footage of the previous Sunset Strip location and seems a bit uneasy to navigate. No second floor, but rather a smaller elevation for books. Always a decent selection of used Metal but much more new stuff. I am not a fan of getting down on my hands and knees to dig through stuff on the floor. Anyway I still enjoy it, and I came out with about a dozen pieces. Amoeba is still a fun store to visit because I always find something, and it’s a lot of fun just to spend time in a BIG record store. I will always be back.
