Overkill sign worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast, announce tour, box set

Posted by on March 27, 2015

overkill1It’s been 35 years since Overkill first formed, and 30 since their first album, Feel the Fire. Now the New Jersey thrash quintet are commemorating their anniversary with a new label in the United States, Nuclear Blast, and a box set that will consist of their entire back catalog. While the band have been on Nuclear Blast in the rest of the world, this box set will be the first release on Nuclear Blast in the states. It will coincide with a fall tour with new label-mates and fellow Jersey-ites Symphony X.

“This should just kill!,” Overkill vocalist Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworthy says of the tour. “Pure Jersey, power and class!” The tour will begin in September at the Palladium in Worcester, MA and end in New York at Terminal 5, which is about as far west as you can go in Manhattan without being in New Jersey.
