Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary vocalist, and one of the architects of the heavy metal genre, underwent surgery on Monday (June 13).

The procedure removed and realigned pins in the iconic singers neck and back. Osbourne took a fall at home in 2019 which resulted in metal rods in his body becoming dislodged.

He was in a lot of pain and experienced difficulty walking prior to the surgery according to sources. The procedure is meant to resolve those issues.

Sharon Osbourne said that this surgery was “going to determine the rest of [Ozzy’s] life.”

Early yesterday, Ozzy shared a message with his fans on his Instagram thanking them for their support. See below.

The massage said:

“I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably. I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”

Sharon also issued an update on the rockerstars health and stated that he is “doing well and on the road to recovery.”

Ozzy will finally embark on his European tour with Judas Priest, now some four years after it was originally planned.

Don’t worry about missing your chance to see the “Prince of Darkness” live, in concert, Ozzy says he has no plans of calling it quits yet.
