Ozzy Osbourne “Doing Well” After Surgery

Posted by on June 15, 2022

Ozzy Osbourne is on the mend after undergoing major surgery on Monday (6/13). In a tweet Tuesday, Osbourne’s wife Sharon thanked fans for their support and gave an update on her husband’s condition. “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery!,” said Sharon in the post. “Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”

Sharon revealed Ozzy would be undergoing surgery during her UK talk show The Talk on June 8. At the time, she expressed just how dire the operation was, saying that the outcome could “determine the rest of his life.” For years, Osbourne has been dealing with residual pains stemming from a 2003 ATV accident. He aggravated the injury in 2019 after falling at his home and dislodging several metal rods placed during the initial surgery.

The Prince of Darkness has been dealing with many health issues over the past few years. Back in 2019, Osbourne had a serious bout of pneumonia and the aforementioned fall that led him to push back his entire ‘No More Tours II’ tour. Then in February 2020, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinsons, the treatment for which forced him to push his tour dates back even further. This past April, Osbourne tested positive for Covid-19

Osbourne’s European tour dates are currently slated to take place in 2023.  Prior to the Covid-19 diagnosis, Osbourne announced that he has completed work on the follow-up to his 2020 album Ordinary Man. There is no word yet on a title or release date for the project.
