TMZ reports, Gene Simmons has been admitted to Cedar-Sinai Hospital early this morning (1st) as the KISS singer/bassist underwent a procedure to get rid of kidney stones. The treatment was pretty straight forward and it didn’t take long to complete. Sources have said a stent was inserted in his urethra to help urine flow from the kidney to the bladder to essentially flush out the stones. The stent and the remaining stones will be removed in a week.

KISS were forced to postpone their show in Salt Lake City last month due to Simmons having to do “a medical procedure. Nothing serious. But it must be taken care of now.” The group also postponed their shows in Oakland and Los Angeles and have rescheduled them for March of next year

While seeing two rescheduled dates on their farewell tour, does this mean they could potentially have one more run before calling it quits?

Regardless, we hope Simmons will have a safe recovery.
