Think back to horror movies from 2005. No doubt, you’re probably thinking of what might have been Rob Zombie’s last really good movie, The Devil’s Rejects. The House of 1000 Corpses sequel ended masterfully, with a hail of bullets and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” in a slow motion bloody montage as the Firefly family met their demise (it’s not a spoiler if it’s a 13 year-old movie). Well, even though they went down in a blaze of glory, Bloody Disgusting is reporting that The Devil’s Rejects 3: Three From Hell will go into production in March.

It’s being reported that the film will continue the story of the Firefly family Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding, Bill Mosely as Otis and Sheri Moon Zombie as Baby. Maybe it’ll be a prequel, maybe they’ll come back from the dead, which isn’t that much of a stretch. Either way, we’re sure Zombie has a workaround. The site also reports that Zombie si in negotiations with Saban Films and Lionsgate that the sequel will be released in theaters, VOD and home video, which is the same thing he did for 31. Nothing’s confirmed here, but we’ll let you know as we hear more.
