Voragos: Destination Lunasea Beach to see Rob Zombie headline Harvest Caye, Belize

Posted by on June 3, 2021

It seems everywhere we look this year, the minds at Danny Wimmer Presents are coming up with something new. Seeing all the festivals cancel in 2020, and only a handful of festivals returning later this year, DWP has brought us a new adventure to look forward to in 2022.

Announced months ago, was a cruise, created by DWP, and hosted by cruise experts Sixthman setting sail to Belize for what was promised to be a once in a lifetime experience. While other music cruises already exist, and are done extremely well, DWP needed something to take it to the next level.

In comes Voragos: Destination Lunasea Beach. A new 5 day rock cruise taking place this upcoming February 16-21, 2022. Departing from Miami, Florida, 2500 fans will be swept off to sea upon the amenity-packed Norwegian Pearl. The only stop, includes one full day and night at Harvest Caye, Belize, a resort like private island. Guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind beach festival, named Lunasea Beach.

The Lunasea Beach Festival, taking place on February 18, which is available exclusively to cruise guests (no separate tickets will be sold to the public), will include exclusive headlining sets by Rob Zombie and Chevelle along with performances by Black Stone Cherry, New Years Day, Tetrarch and Amigo The Devil.

Bands performing on the Norwegian Pearl during sea days (February 16, 17, 19 and 20) are as follows (subject to change):

Mastodon, Black Stone Cherry, Tremonti, Saint Asonia, Escape The Fate, New Years Day, Fire From The Gods, Bad Omens, Jeris Johnson, Tetrarch, DED, All Good Things, Joyous Wolfand Plush.

Additionally, the ship will be home to the Voragos Storytellers Stage which will feature intimate performances from Amigo The Devil, Kevin Martin (of Candlebox), Brett Scallions Aupervant Fuel and Austin Meade. The Voragos Comedy Stage with multiple sets from Jim Breuer, Big Jay Oakerson, Rachel Feinstein and Shayne Smith.

Each night on board the Norwegian Pearl will also offer a Midnight After-Party starring Brass Against, The Voragos Shut Up & Dance and more.

Voragos is being hailed as the ultimate vacation of every rocker’s dreams, with more than 45 performances across 5 total stages, both on board and on the beach. Most bands will be playing multiple sets throughout the 5-day excursion as well as participating in additional activities.

Cabins go on sale toe the general public on June 4th, at 12pm ET. Starting at a reasonable $898 per person for a four guest interior room, all that is needed is a deposit and the remaining can be paid in installments in the months leading up to the event.
