Unfortunately, Crowbar had to cancel, with reasoning left unmentioned leaving us to only hypothesize regarding the recent string of events surrounding the band.

But not to be defeated, Anselmo has lined up another heavy-hitter, recruiting the Melvins for the lineup, also adding New York-based horror metal band Blood Farmers to the bill. Anselmo commented regarding the lineup change in a message on the festival’s Facebook page:

“Sadly, Crowbar will not be able to make the gig. But madly great news is that The mighty Melvins are gonna jam the fucking night away!”

Not only will The Melvin’s perform in Crowbar’s spot, but drummer Dale Crover will lend two hands to Eyehategod in the absence of  late drummer Joey LaCaze who passed away in August as a result of respiratory failure. As if the festival wouldn’t already be one to remember, the bar just got set that much higher, showing firsthand the camaraderie and resiliency in metal.
