The line-up for Soundwave Festival 2015 in Australia has been announced and it’s a doozy. Faith No More, Soundgarden, Slipknot, Ministry, Judas Priest, Godflesh, Incubus and so many more.
“Faith No More played Soundwave in 2010, Slash appeared in 2011 and Manson and Slipknot were at the 2012 event, but Soundgarden have not played the festival before.”
Back in March of 2014, the outspoken Soundwave promoter / organizer AJ Maddah was asked on Twitter about Soundgarden being brought on for the 2015 line-up. At the time (see below) he said the Seattle band was a bit too pricey for the up-coming 2015 line-up.
@MAPayne666 Soundgarden are massively overpriced. I’m not Foos promoter.

We’re glad to see the two parties seemed to have worked things out! “I don’t set the price,” said guitarist Kim Thayil in response to that quote, “that’s probably something to do with our booking agent and management so that’s probably where that comes from.”
The festival takes place over two consecutive weekends, in four different cities; Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
Earlier this year Thy Art Is Murder was temporarily kicked off of the Soundwave festivaal when vocalist CJ McMahon told the audience to get on the stage.
