June 20, 2025 Release Highlights:
Yungblud, Idols (Capitol):
Said to be his most personal album to date, the British rock singer pulled from his rock and Brit-pop influences, including “Oasis, The Verve, Primal Scream, My Chemical Romance, David Bowie, and Madonna.”
Badflower, No Place Like Home (Big Machine):
The Nashville rockers return with their third studio album. Featuring some truly catchy singles, this hard rock-meets-pop rock mix is one to watch.
Cryptopsy, An Insatiable Violence (Season Of Mist):
Written during their recent Death To All tour, the Canadian death metal band’s ninth studio effort is described as a “commentary on today’s society as though filtered through the transgressive, countercultural perspectives of J.G. Ballard and David Cronenberg.”
Alestorm, The Thunderfist Chronicles (Napalm):
The Scottish pirate band release their eighth studio effort, which is “packed with blistering riffs, wild shanty-driven riffs, and utterly ridiculous lyrics,” and includes their longest track to date.
Malevolence, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken (Nuclear Blast):
The UK heavy metal band takes things to the next level on their fourth studio album, with the band saying of the record, “The production, the songwriting, the videos—everything about this record is bigger, heavier, and more refined.”
