Metal By Numbers 3/24: Rob Zombie injects the charts with a long album title

Posted by on March 24, 2021

Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

Long album and song titles are always funny to me. Unless they have a commonly understood abbreviation, fans are forced to say the whole title out loud. In the case of Rob Zombie, most of his solo albums feature a jumble of words that sounds like a funky Mad Lib. Sure, his debut is usually just referred to as Hillbilly Deluxe, but you know there’s a superfan out there who spots the whole title: Hellbilly Deluxe: 13 Tales of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside the Spookshow International. The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy is almost tame by comparison.
