Now that the Grammys happened as we saw Tool take home the award for Best Metal Performance as well as seeing Keith Flint missing from the In Memoriam segment, it’s time to focus on The Juno Awards. The nominees for the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Awards have been announced. For the one category that honors heavy music, Lindsay Schoolcraft, The Agonist, Kobra and the Lotus, Striker, and Single Mothers Dine Alone have been nominated for the ‘Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year’ category.

This year’s Juno Awards will take place on Sunday, March 15, at the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and will be broadcast live on CBC. Artists who released albums between September 2018 to November 8, 2019, were eligible for nominations.
