While the Grammy Awards will never be able to please everyone, at least if you’re Ghost, you were pretty happy about last night’s proceedings. As you’ll see below, they’re really good at confusing the hell out of people that might not have read up on them, and a band that’s wearing masks and makeup like they do made for an incredibly awkward red carpet interview from Billboard. Responding to “Tell me about your oufits” with “well, they’re black and they start up here and end around the tip of our toes” is a great way to start off the interview. And this was before they won, too.
Sevendust was one of the other three metal bands to show up to the awards. They looked happy to be there, congratulating Ghost in a Facebook post. And August Burns Red were also thrilled to be there – not only because they were nominated, but also because they almost didn’t make it in time. As the band explained on Twitter, they got stuck in an elevator on their way there! Explaining via Twitter, they took a picture of themselves stuck in the elevator thanking the LA Fire Department, who apparently gave them a ride to the ceremony on a fire truck!
Stuck in the elevator on our way to @thegrammys. Thank you to the LA fire department for getting us out so quickly! pic.twitter.com/W9zEjdhvNz

Another shout out to the LA fire department for giving us a ride on their truck to the red carpet. 👍🏻

While we didn't win the Grammy today, I am still honored to be nominated. Like @Schwarzenegger in Terminator, we'll be back.
