Shortly after headlining this past weekend’s Chicago Open Air, KoRn cancelled their scheduled performance at tonight’s (17) Alternative Press Music Awards. The band posted a message last night, one day prior to the event stating:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to perform at Monday night’s show. We apologize to anyone we may disappoint by this decision but know that we put a lot of thought into making it. We don’t take these things lightly and hope to see you all soon.”

This isn’t the first time the band used “unforeseen circumstances,” which makes us wonder what is really going on. It wasn’t too long ago when they cancelled most of their shows in May for the same reason. Additionally, this isn’t the first time the group backed out on an award show when it was just a few years ago, they cancelled performing for Revolver on more than one occasion.
