Track number five from Slipknot’s upcoming .5: The Gray Chapter came out today. The song, “Killpop,” is the seventh song to be made available in recent days, and we’re hopeful that tomorrow we’ll hear “Skeptic.”

Details on the song are scarce, except for this blurb from Kerrang, promoting their latest issue:

“Find out why frontman Corey Taylor tells Kerrang! that Killpop is about Slipknot’s “love-hate relationship” with the music industry”

This new album, Slipknot’s fifth, will be the first studio album from the band in six years since the release of All Hope is Gone in 2008. It will also be the first without two key members; Paul Gray passed away on May 24th, in 2010, and drummer Joey Jordison was let go in December of 2013. It’s pretty certain that Alessandro Venturella of Krokodil is the new bassist, but it’s still speculation that Jay Weinberg is the new drummer.
