It was a few years ago when we mentioned that KISS was partnering with Hello Kitty to create a worldwide brand. The idea had already been around since 2010, with shirts, necklaces and more available to buy. However, today, USA Today announced that it’s fully come to fruition with plans unveiled for an animated series for The Hub. Wait, huh?
Yeah, the Demon, Starchild, Spaceman and Catman are now four adorable catgirls. Will there be blood splitting, tongue wagging, and lots of terribly single-entendre songs about fucking? Well, according to USA Today, it’ll be about “four Kiss x Hello Kitty characters living their rock ‘n’ roll dreams and bringing pink anarchy to every situation they are in.” Is “Pink Anarchy” a song from Rock and Roll Over about fucking? No? Hmm. Okay then, this has all the potential of being really bizarre. Gene Simmons will be an executive producer of the show, and Stanley is looking forward to the series, stating “Knowing and viewing The Hub as I do daily with my three children, it is the perfect home for us to bring the Kiss Hello Kitty juggernaut to yet another generation.” Well, good luck with that. It should be quite the trainwreck.
