It looks like Wilson are calling it a day. The Detroit party rockers didn’t express much aside from announcing “one last bonafide cage rager.” Their final show will take place on December 28th at the Crofoot in Pontiac, MI with guests The Messenger Birds, Red Stone Souls, Ladysse, and Strange Magic. The group will perform songs from three albums: Tasty Nasty, Right to Rise, and Full Blast Fvckery

The band issued the following statement:

“Thank you. Goodnight.

After a decade of rock n rock debauchery, we have decided to lay down the axe with one last bonafide cage rager.

It’s hard to put all of this into words. The feelings can only be told face to face. So come out to The Crofoot on Saturday December 28th and let us do it there, together, one last time.

We will be playing two shows on two different stages.

The 1st, will be comprised entirely of our most recent efforts, “Tasty Nasty” and our record “Right To Rise” at The Crofoot Ballroom stage.

The 2nd will be our record “Full Blast Fvckery” in it’s entirety, front to back, at the Pike Room stage, inside of the Crofoot Complex.

PLUS – Earlier that day we will be hosting a special pre-party for 100 ticket buyers. We will be curating “WILSON’S House Of Fvckery” at the Vernors Room inside of The Crofoot. Where you can have a conversation and walk thru our past, present and future with us. A silent auction will be held containing items such as rare photo sets, music video set pieces and contents chalk full of pure WILSON DNA. Proceeds from this auction will go to both Lighthouse Of Oakland County and MusiCares charities. And A lot More.

Presented By 101 WRIF – FM Detroit

With support from our friends The Messenger Birds, Red Stone Souls, Ladysse and Strange Magic

Tickets go on-sale this Friday November 8th at 12pm EST.

We cannot wait to see as many of you as we can. For One Last Party”

While this essentially means the end of Wilson, it could also suggest an end of an era as next year marks a new decade. However, perhaps things haven’t been going too well in the Wilson camp since guitarist Kyle Landry quit this past July. It’s hard to believe that just over a year ago we saw the group headline Saint Vitus and spoke to frontman Chad Nicefield as he looked forward to the band’s future. Nicefield has previously considered taking a break before their latest album Tasty Nasty was released. Maybe this break was bound to happen after all.
