We really enjoyed Wilson’s debut album, Full Blast Fuckery, when it came out a few years ago. The band’s live show is what really sold us. There’s a marching band drum, ridiculous party-on lyrics and when we saw them, each show had a chicken wing eating contest (which we participated in). It would’ve been nothing if it wasn’t for their songs, which were also good. While they didn’t have a label, they had a booking agent, and did a ton of touring, even opening for GWAR.

Today, Billboard announced that their sophomore album will be released this Summer on Razor & Tie. So yeah, the label that brings you Kidz Bop is putting out an album by a band whose last album contained songs like “College Gangbang” and “I Can Beat Your Dad.” The band announced their signing via the above video, which might actually be them signing to the label. Even if it isn’t, it’s pretty funny. The band will be on tour in Europe supporting Halestorm and Nothing More, and we’re sure you’ll hear more from them soon.

Here’s their modest announcement, via their Facebook page:

Wilson is a band that is here to prove rock n roll is still alive and kicking out the jams, motherfuckers! When we thought about who would be the right label to release this monstrous sophomore record we knew that Razor & Tie was the “wham bam, thank you ma’m” home we needed! We share the same hard workin’, nose to the ground, eye to the sky mentality. With our brand spankin’ new crew set to help us take our sweet, sweet fuckery sound to the masses…we can focus on what Wilson was created to do… worldwide devastation.
