This past Friday (26th), Slipknot kicked off their Knotfest Roadshow tour with Volbeat, Gojira, and Behemoth; and next Friday (9th) their new album We Are Not Your Kind will finally arrive via Roadrunner Records. While we have spent five years waiting and bleeding for the follow-up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter, we decided to make up a list of seven (Sic) things about Slipknot that’s happened since their tour kickoff.
07) Corey Taylor remembers Chris Cornell in Seattle:
Slipknot are scheduled to perform tonight (30th) at the KISW radio Pain in the Grass fest in Auburn, WA. The group has had a few days to trek out there, which has possibly given them extra time to stretch their legs. Last night (29th) frontman Corey Taylor shared a few images via Instagram of him spending the day with his family hanging around the Emerald City. While these images are mainly of him and his loved ones, the singer has also shared a photo of Chris Cornell’s statue. The Slipknot frontman visited the late Soundgarden singer’s statue at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle as he wrote: “Seattle #family”
