We are saddened to hear about the passing of Lucas Starr (ex-Oh, Sleeper, Terminal). He was only 34-years-old and has died after losing a battle with stage 4 colon cancer. Starr was diagnosed with the disease over the summer as a GoFundMe was launched to help pay for his medical bills. Starr died on December 7th, at his home in Fort Worth, TX. Starr worked on the first two Oh, Sleeper albums 2007’s When I Am God and 2009’s Son of the Morning and left during the process of 2011’s Children of Fire who was replaced by Nate Grady at that time. A celebration of Starr’s life will be held at the City On A Hill Church in Ft. Worth, TX this Saturday (15th).

His former Oh, Sleeper bandmate, Shane Blay, shared the following brief tribute via Instagram:

Our thoughts go out to Starr’s friends and family during this difficult time.
