baronessvidWith it’s December release date, Baroness’ Purple is almost indanger of being overshadowed by 2016’s releases. However, the album stands on its’ own as a culmination of the heaviness of Red and Blue, and the proggy/catchiness of Yellow and Green. Now the band have released a video for “Shock Me,” and it’s a pretty trippy video. Filmed in rural Pennsylvania, it was directed by Don Tyler and Baroness frontman John Bazley with art direction from Karen Jerzyki. Taking place in what looks like an abandoned school/hospital, of course the color purple figures into the video (the color, not the novel). There are some elements of the album’s artwork in the video (bees, honey, birds), and it’s just the slightest bit NSFW.
