Ah, local news. Minnesota’s KEYC-TV picked up this hot item yesterday, reporting how pleased local law enforcement was with the general behavior at Wednesday’s Slipknot concert. The show at Mankato’s Alltel Center resulted in only two arrests, two trips to the hospital and 20 evictions for disorderly behavior or underage drinking. Commander Jeremy Clifton talks about this Slipknot show like he just negotiated a hostage situation, saying “we know a little bit more of what to expect and can respond a little bit more appropriately.”
It’s not great like those “Is Emo Killing Your Kids?” reports that pop up every few months, but it’s still funny to see how much concern Slipknot can stir in a small town America. You can watch the news report here, but it seems to only work in Internet Explorer. So if you can’t see it, you’re a NERD!
