Wovenwar release the archers in new video

Wovenwar (basically As I Lay Dying with the singer of Oh, Sleeper) started work on a new album back in June, but have just released a new performance video for “Archers” from last year’s self-titled debut on Metal Blade.

Said guitarist Nick Hipa, who also directed and edited the video:

“Our video for ‘Archers’ is cut from live footage filmed by Josh Knoff from our recent hometown show at Brick by Brick. The lyrics heavily reference specific themes and songs from Shane’s previous band (Oh, Sleeper) as a sentimental nod to how that chapter in his life was unforgettably formidable. With that in mind, it felt appropriate to create a visual edit captured from our venue in a room filled with quite a bit of family and friends… it kinda just completes the whole vibe as positively nostalgic.”

Though Wovenwar has no shows planned, guitarist Phil Sgrosso said in an interview earlier this year that a US tour should be coming:

“We have a US tour that we will be going out on with some good friends of ours who put on this tour. I can’t announce it yet, I have to wait for them to announce it but we are pretty excited to play some big rooms in the Fall time of this year.”
