Tool have been on tour for over a month and last night (18th), the group decided to mixup their set by adding “Swamp Song” to the list. The track is taken from their 1993 debut, Undertow, and last night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA marks their first live performance of the classic track since 2007. Despite Tool’s strict no cell phone policy, a few fans managed to break the rules to capture their performance.

Watch the fan-filmed footage below before the band finds a way to have the clips removed:

During the same trek, Tool recently performed the instrumental “Merkaba” for the first time live since 2002.

Tool will embark on their second North American leg in January as they’ve invited Author & Punisher as the opener.

The group has also added a third San Diego show, which is set for January 13th at Viejas Arena at S.D.S.U. Tickets go on sale this Friday (22nd) at 10am pacific.

In more Tool news, the group will embark on an Australian and New Zealand tour in February. You can check out those tour dates here. Oh wait, there’s more! On December 13th, Tool’s expanded book edition for their first album in thirteen years, Fear Inoculum, will be released.
