conan-revengeanceThis last week, Conan’s Revengeance was released, and it’s a nasty, heavy, doomy stoner-rific album. Wondering how stoner-rocky the album is? You can get a pretty good idea by watching the first video from it, “Throne of Fire.” Featuring winged insects, a giant,  skulls, wizards and lots of weed, it’s a lysergic wet dream of metal and fantasy cliches, crudely but effectively animated. Musically, if you’re looking for something to fill the High On Fire-shaped void in your heart, you’ll love this. And visually, if you’re looking for an issue of Heavy Metal magazine come to life, you’ll enjoy “Throne of Fire.” Metal Hammer debuted the track earlier today, and you’re probably getting a contact high just from hitting play on it.

Revengeance is out now on Napalm Records. It can be picked up here.
