Long Island New York metal act Monochromatic Black are gearing up for their debut album, Vicissitude, out November 26th. Formed in 2018, featuring Painted In Exile drummer Eddie DeCesare, along with vocalist Tanya Elizabeth and guitarist John Gribbin. Joining them on the stage are guitarist Dan Rivera and bassist Arthur Erb. The band has utilized their time during the COVID-19 pandemic to work on their upcoming full-length effort. Today (15th), the group has teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere a video for their latest single, “Closing The Gates.”

The band comments:

“‘Closing The Gates’ is a song about cutting people off who are only involved to take advantage of you.  The track utilizes chaotic interplay between instruments to portray a ‘dodging’ effect, as if one were to actively escape one’s grasp.  It is composed with odd time signatures and modulated rhythms to exemplify the unknown yet familiar strife of dishonest ones you may encounter with a hard and aggressive timbre on the overall spectrum.”
