Massachusetts nu-grunge metalcore act Hero and The Horror has teamed up with Metal Insider to unveil the video for their latest single, “On Fire.” The track is taken from their upcoming album, Old Ghosts, set to release on February 2, 2024, via Salt of the Earth Records. Formed by bassist John “Slo” Maggard, previously of Unearth, the band has grown organically, adding members and refining its sound. Despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic, they continued to write new material, leading to their full-length LP. 

The band comments: 

“We picked ‘On Fire’ as both the first single and opening track to our upcoming album Old Ghosts because we feel that this track represents the fire, urgency, and a single important emotion that this album presents. Although Old Ghosts encapsulates a wide array of musical styles and, in turn, a wide array of emotions, ‘On Fire’ is our opening statement of shedding a skin and awakening something new within.”
