We all know that Corey Taylor has a habit for covering some unusual songs. However, we never expected to hear the Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman singing the theme song to “Spongebob Squarepants.” Yet that’s exactly what happened.

Taylor performed a mix of originals and covers during a solo acoustic set at the second annual It Takes A Community Foundation benefit concert last Saturday night (August 20). Halfway through his cover of the Nickelodeon cartoon’s theme song, Taylor was joined by a kids choir to finish up the rendition. As random as this might be, it’s also pretty awesome to see Taylor simply having fun.

You can watch video of the “Spongebob Squarepants” cover above. Video of Taylor and the kids choir covering Queen’s “We Will Rock You” with Staind’s Aaron Lewis and Tesla’s Jeff Keith can also be seen after the jump.
