Extreme metal supergroup Sinsaenum have announced their long-awaited return with their third album, In Devastation, scheduled to arrive on August 8 via earMUSIC. To coincide with the announcement, the group shared a video for the title track, marking their first new material since the passing of drummer Joey Jordison (Slipknot, Murderdolls) in 2021. The follow-up to 2018’s Repulsion for Humanity serves as a tribute to Jordison and founding guitarist Frédéric Leclercq’s late father, both of whom inspired the emotional and creative direction of the record.
Leclercq explains:
“I was devastated, hence the title of this album. But we knew we had to carry on. This record is our tribute to my father, to Joey, and to anyone who’s ever had to find strength in their darkest moments.”
The 2025 lineup consists of Leclercq, along with returning members Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Sean Zatorsky (Dååth), Stéphane Buriez (Loudblast), and Heimoth (Seth). Andre Joyzi, formerly Jordison’s tech and a trusted member of the band’s touring family is selected as the new drummer, not only for his skills, but to help honor Jordison’s legacy.
